Doug Nachman has worked in the financial services industry since 1989, and he has always strived to place the client’s interests first and foremost. Doug helps his clients create and grow their wealth, protect and preserve that wealth, and finally, help them plan for the distribution of those assets in a manner that is efficient and saves on taxes. Doug earned his BS in Business Administration from Indiana University, and he holds the Series 7, 24, 65 and 63 Securities Licenses.
Doug’s time with Smith Moore spans more than two decades, and he shares with this company the philosophy of providing excellent customer service with a personal touch, making the firm a perfect match for him. In 1992, Doug was elected to Smith Moore’s Board of Directors, and he was named Vice Chairman of the company three years later. In 2000, he was named CEO and Chairman of the Board. However, Doug has since relinquished these management titles in order to spend more time working with his clients.
Outside of the office, Doug enjoys sports. He and his wife, Susan, reside in St. Louis, and they have two children, Jamie and Stephanie.
