Kelli joined Smith Moore after working for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for nearly thirty years. The passion she developed for helping others and solving problems is integral to her role as a Client Associate. Kelli leverages her talent and experience to assist and ensure clients have an ideal experience working towards their wealth management goals.

Kelli obtained a degree in office technology from State Technical College in Linn, Missouri. She currently lives in Eugene, Missouri with her husband, Jim, and their two children, Austin and Jaiden. A family of avid animal lovers, they stay busy raising three dogs (Winston, Gunner, and Baxter) and two cats (Spidey and Gray Gray). In her free time, Kelli can be found riding jets skis or soaking up the sun while enjoying summers on the lake.

Building strong relationships with clients is the cornerstone of Hope’s investment practice. Relatable and down to earth, she believes that direct communication builds an open and honest connection in order to better help clients achieve their aspirations. She approaches wealth management with the heart of a teacher and values the opportunity to educate clients on their finances as they strive to reach their goals.

Hope admires the client-focused culture and attention to outstanding client service at Smith Moore. This complements her team-centered approach to investment allocation, holistic financial planning, and risk management to bring a meaningful impact to her clients’ investment outcomes.

Wealth planning is the bedrock of her work as a financial advisor. Beginning with identifying clients’ goals and dreams, she constructs individualized investment portfolios tailored to clients' means, timeframe, and willingness to accept risk. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Hope holds a deep understanding to the various aspects of the financial planning process. She helps clients address their need for financial security and a desire to leave a legacy for the following generation via wealth, accumulation, retirement planning, and estate planning services.

Empowering women and guiding youth are passions which have led her to being a valued member of Zonta’s women’s club and the lead organizer for Linn area youth soccer. Hope is also a huge cheerleader for Special Olympics Missouri and a deeply involved 4-H mom.

Hope is fortunate to spend her life with her incredible husband, Bryan, three sons, Dalton, Dylan, and Mason, and two dogs, Holly and Ivy. She is an avid lover of the outdoors and can often be found riding one of her two horses, hunting, gardening, woodworking, tackling home improvement projects, or spending time with her family.

Christi admires Smith Moore’s focus on outstanding client service, a tight-knit and welcoming team environment, and the enduring strength and stability of the firm with roots dating back to 1913.

Her prior experience in management, recruiting, training, and practice management has made her an integral part of Smith Moore. Her involvement in recruiting financial advisors and promoting the firm has proven instrumental in growing the company.

Christi earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Management from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois. She went on to obtain her MBA from Webster University. She brings over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry to Smith Moore and holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses in addition to her Life and Health Insurance license.

Prior to joining Smith Moore in December 2018, Christi was the managing principal and founder of Wealth Management Partners (WMP), LLC. She formerly held various roles at Waddell and Reed, Edward Jones, Hancock Securities Group, Irwin Union Bank, Smith Barney, and Mercantile Bank including District Branch Manager, Branch Manager, Financial Advisor, Trust Officer, Private Banker, Human Resource Specialist, and Recruiter.

Christi has been married to her husband, Darrell, for over 20 years and they have two children together. Brie is a nurse, and Ryan studies finance and accounting at Truman State University. Christi enjoys spending time with family, hiking, boating, and water sports like wakeboarding and skiing.

Though he joined Smith Moore more than a decade ago, Dean Hopkins’ experience in the financial services industry dates back to 1978. He employs multiple strategies grounded in historical, fundamental, and technical knowledge, and is committed to pursuing a greater understanding of free markets and business. Dean builds long-term relationships with great clients by developing personalized investment strategies. He knows that client connections are the backbone of a successful relationship and is mindful of the client’s wishes while implementing strategies.

Dean builds long-term relationships with great clients by developing personalized investment strategies. Coupled with his Series 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 24, 63, and 66 Securities Licenses, his market knowledge is incorporated into client discussions about goals, risk tolerance, and results.

Dean attended Shimer College and Oxford University before joining the industry. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of the Americas with a bachelor’s degree and obtained a master’s degree from the University of Denver. Dean is on the finance boards of both Capital Region Healthcare and Meadow Lake Acres Country Club, as well as the Board of Capital Projects and Board of Parish Education at Faith Lutheran Church.

Dean and his wife, Sofia, reside near Jefferson City, Missouri. Together, they have two sons. In his free time, Dean likes to golf, play with his grandchildren, listen to jazz, read the latest business news and literature, and stay involved in the community.

Alex has held a passion for economics since the age of ten. He has always been fascinated with the interaction between monetary policy, fiscal policy, geopolitical events, cultural events, and supply and demand. He loves the opportunity to build relationships with incredible clients and assist them in reaching their dreams. Alex specializes in areas such as investment portfolio management, individual security analysis, holistic financial planning, and more.

Alex obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia and holds the Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses, along with his life and health insurance license.

Outside of the office, Alex focuses on serving at-risk youth and has worked in advocacy for several years as a foster parent. He has volunteered with Coyote Hill Foster Care Ministries, served as Board President for Advocating for Children in Crisis and Board Treasurer for Therapy Paws, and is an active member of Memorial Baptist Church. In his free time, Alex can be found hiking, kayaking, or lounging at the Lake of the Ozarks.
