Greg Church leverages his almost 30 years of experience in the industry to help his clients work toward their financial goals. Greg enjoys helping individuals, families, and business owners plan for their financial futures with strategies to build wealth, reduce risk, protect estates, and reduce taxes. Greg tailors personalized financial plans to help clients meet their goals, whether that means planning for retirement, saving for children’s education, or preserving wealth.
Greg is a Financial Advisor and Regional Manager for the Columbia, Fulton, Kirksville, and Moberly branches. He graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with a BS in Business Administration and holds the Series 7, 8, 63, and 24 licenses.
He and his wife, Karla, reside near Columbia, Missouri. They have five children (Cassidy, Brennan, Mathew, Celeste, and Brett) and seven grandchildren. Greg spends his free time gardening, playing golf, and hunting in the fall.

Betty has been with Smith Moore as a Client Associate since 2009. She has developed a keen understanding regarding the importance of mutual trust and respect over her 30+ years of experience in banking and as a financial assistant. Betty has a passion for developing strong relationships with clients and getting to know them personally. She takes pride in her attention to detail, knowledge, strong work ethic, and ability to work collaboratively with the rest of the Smith Moore team.
Betty stays busy by serving as hospitality chair for Rehoboth Baptist Church and as a member of the Monday Club and Chapter CZ, PEO. She is a lifelong resident of Kirksville and often frequents Colorado to visit her two adult children, Janelle and Jordan, and their respective families. She is blessed with two grandchildren, Ruby and Finn, whom she loves to spoil. You can find Betty cooking, exploring new places, spending time with family and friends, and gifting her heart of service to her church outside the office.

Troy Van Rie

Troy joined the financial industry in 1992 and provides financial advice to all age groups and account sizes. He leverages more than 30 years of experience to develop a portfolio of investments tailored to the individual based on their risk tolerance and time horizon.
Troy graduated from Truman State University with a BA in Speech Communications. Upon completing his studies, he found that many of his friends and family did not have a good understanding of the financial world. This drove him to pursue further education in the industry and used his communications degree to educate others about financial matters that can make an impact in all aspects of their lives.
Troy lives in Kirksville, Missouri, with his wife, Paula. They have four adult children that are making their way in their chosen careers as a golf pro, nurse, lawyer, and farm manager. An avid nature lover, Troy serves as Vice President of the Pure Air Wildlife Management Cooperative and is focused on restoring his family farm in Adair County to create a habitat for wildlife mammals, birds, pollinators, and native flowers.
