Smith Moore Teams Up with St. Louis Children’s Hospital’s Art Therapy program.
The art supply drive for St. Louis Children’s Hospital’s Art Therapy program was a success! In working with staff in the Art Therapy program, Smith Moore learned the most needed items for their patients. The #1 item is white Model Magic clay. Patients love to add color to it, using markers, to make it their own. The Model Magic clay helps cancer patients manage pain and behavioral health patients with their anxiety. Smith Moore employees, clients and friends collected 450 individually wrapped packages of Model Magic, 366 glue sticks, 350 paint brushes, 135 blank canvases, over 700 markers, and various kits for patients to take home from them after being released from the hospital.
Emily Schaeffler, Dipali House, and Joyce Randle delivered the supplies to St. Louis Children’s Hospital. They met the staff of the Art Therapy Program, as well as Child Life Services. They learned about other events and ways that St. Louis Children’s Hospital brings joy to the lives of their patients and their families. Emily, Dipali, and Joyce left wanting to continue this relationship with St. Louis Children’s Hospital!
