Dorothea Karakas joined the financial services industry in 1986 and currently serves as a Compliance Officer and Insurance & Annuity Manager at the Clayton branch of Smith Moore. She is a Chartered Financial Consultant® and a Chartered Life Underwriter®. Dorothea additionally holds the Series 7, 8, 24, 63, and 66 Securities Licenses, as well as the Life and Health Insurance License.
In utilizing her certifications and many years of experience, Dorothea helps Smith Moore’s financial advisors service their clients to work toward their financial goals on their terms.
Dorothea graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a BS in Business Administration. She is also a member of the Philoptochos Ladies Society and Hellenic Spirit Foundation, and she serves on the St. Louis Metropolitan Committee for International Orthodox Christian Charities. She lives in the St. Louis area with her husband, Achilles, their daughter, Maria, and their spoiled Pomeranian, Foxy. She loves going to concerts and wineries with good friends and spending time with her family hiking, golfing, and going on float trips.
