Kevin believes everyone, regardless of means, deserves an opportunity to create a financial plan to help guide them toward achieving their financial goals. Life is full of financial decisions and having a plan in place can help relieve a great deal of stress when it comes to making those choices. Kevin got into the industry to combine his financial skills with helping others. His clients can expect a standard of care that includes monitoring and consistently updating their financial plans on their journey to and through retirement.
Kevin follows a straightforward process to build a client’s financial plan. After creating the client’s personalized path to and through retirement, he focuses on generating investment recommendations that best align with achieving the client’s stated goals. After the successful completion of these important first two steps, he then turns his attention to addressing other wealth management issues such as beneficiary designations, estate planning, insurance needs analysis, and legacy planning.
Prior to joining Smith Moore, Kevin spent nearly a decade in the financial services industry as an Assurance Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers and an Actuarial Analyst at Kansas City Life Insurance Company. He earned a BS in Business Administration with a focus on Finance & Accounting and a minor in Mathematics from Rockhurst University. He holds the Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and is insurance licensed in Kansas, Missouri, Alabama, Arizona, California, Illinois, Ohio, and Virginia.
Kevin currently lives in Overland Park, Kansas, with his wife, Jenny, and their sons, Cooper, Lincoln, Beau, and Crew. He really enjoys spending time with his family and friends, taking the occasional spin around the golf course, and viewing as many Chiefs, Cardinals, Jayhawks, or Sporting KC events as his schedule allows.
